Christmas at the Kennedy's
Christmas turned out wonderfully at Mom and Dad's household. On Christmas Eve we did the music for the candelight service at the church and spent the rest of the night gorging on mass amounts of treats and snacks while watching the ever classic Christmas Story (I don't think it will ever get old!). In the morning Brent and I went over to mom and dads for the opening of gifts and breakfast. The kids were definitely eager to get at them. Lehman had his eye set especially on one beautifully wrapped gift from Lauryn, however i don't think it was the wrapping as much as he had shaken it earlier and determined that it was a playmobile set. We definitely ended up with a small pool of blue playmobile boxes which definitely distracted the kids from most other gifts. Breakfast was to follow with a delectable menu of waffles and ice cream (with real maple syrup), eggs and fruit salad. We spent the remainder of the afternoon watching Road to Avonlea episodes, editing photo's and preparing the Turkey dinner. As always Mom put on a wonderful spread of fine food that rendered us all useless masses on the couch. We ended our evening with the good ole' Christmas Carol and finished off the night with a portion of Mom's much coveted Skor bar dessert. I would say it was a very successful Holiday.

A.O.K
Brent and I both had doctors appointments on Friday for his hand and the baby. He has been having problems with a large lump in his hand which was previously diagnosed as a bone spur in his joint, but it turns out it has to do with an infection that was in the hand a while ago and damaged the tendin. Needless to say the put a massive needle directly into his tendin and he has a strict regiment of topical creams and massage therapy. However this is good news for us seen as how if it had been a joint injury it would get continually worse and eventually be a career ender. After his appointment he had to take a day off and got to join me in my prenatal appointment where we got to hear our baby's heartbeat for the first time! It was a very exciting time and we are happy that all is well.

Watch out world...
In coming baby Brent! It's funny how since I have become pregnant it seems everyone needs to remind me of how rotten of a child my husband was... encouraging I know. Horror story's of him even in the womb have come to surface, some cracked ribs and rambunctious movements seem to be what I have to look forward to over the next six months. However despite the lack of encouraging words I know one thing... there is still hope, he CAN be trained! I already dodged one bullet by compromising with Brent his favorite name, Truck. It has now been established that this name is suitable for a nickname only. The baby is going to be a great blessing and I am happy to be carrying such a beautiful gift from God, once I get passed the whole first semester sickness and labor part. Otherwise it has been a lot of fun to share this exciting news with friends and family and I can't wait to get more news on our much anticipated bundle of joy.

8 days
So there is 8 days to go and this is finally my last day of work! I get to go into BC and take some grad photo's (i am definitely a little nervous), it is going to be a long day and i cannot wait until its over! We have most of our wedding details accomplished but i can't help the feeling that i am forgetting something. Most of the puppies have their eyes open now, so they don't look like little rats anymore. Brent and I went to go pick up some kittens for our acreage a couple days ago and we got there and she said they weren't born yet so she just gave us the pregnant mom, then last night we got even more kittens (all of which as going to be split up between us and his parents). So things are slowly coming together now we just have to tackle cleaning Brents house. His iron eater went on his water system and we have been waiting for a long time to have it fixed and they haven't come yet so all of his toilets and tubs have a slight tint of orange to them. Hopefully they will fix it before the wedding though. That is pretty much all of the news we have right now, we are looking so forward to seeing everyone here.

10 more days
So it has been a while since I have last updated and things seem to be slowing down when they should be speeding up. We have to majority of things finished, i picked up my wedding dress on monday. I started getting a head ache on sunday and i slept in on Monday morning and was going to go to work after i tried on my dress, i was in the dress for about 2 minutes and i just about fainted. Needless to say i didn't go to work after that lol. Since then i have been slightly light headed, naucious and i have a tight chest (i have a viral infection). 10 days to go and I get very sick... typical. Oh well, our puppies are doing well they are 11 days old and one opened her eyes yesterday the other ones are starting to as well. They are actually looking like puppies as well haha not little rats quite cute! We are getting our kittens tonight, Brent tried to keep it a surprise but I was just too smart and guessed it on the first time! Other than that not much else is new, just a lot of mayhem as Brents parents are trying to organize for lots of guests. Looking forward to the day that you all come to see us!

Gettin down to the nitty gritty
It is only 17 days until THE day and all we have are the little (and sometimes annoying) things to do. We just figured out how to make thul flowers and we are getting our shoes today. I received a call last night that our dresses are all done and altered so I will be picking those up on tuesday! Thats when you know it is getting to the end, we are also confirming dates for flight arrivals. The kids are sad because they are having to pack up their playmobile toys to make room for company and they are busy with baking things and freezing them. It is to the point where i am VERY excited and I wish the day was here because planning is becoming painful lol. After this week i only have one week of work left and we are moving into a new office so as it stands today I will be doing tons of painting and cleaning as well as confirming school. Definitely a big time for everyone and a VERy busy time for me. Wish me luck!

Anyone want a puppy?
So I woke up to this wining at 4:30 this morning and my first thought was Chris practicing his coyote distress call and I was about to yell at him when I realized that I don't even live with him anymore. When I finally got my senses back I came to realize that Tess (my soon-to-be inlaws dog) was having puppies. I ran out to see her in the entrance and there was one laying on the floor screamin' and Tess was across the room having the second one, I got Brent's mom and she watched with me. My prediction was she was going to have it on Friday and there were going to be four puppies. By the time the fourth one came out (took forever because it was backwards) we realised she was going to have more. After the 5th one we thought she was done for good until she started panting and pushing again and low and behold another one came. The sixth was quite large so it took a little help from Brents mom and we thought she was done until suddenly i looked down 15 minutes later and another just popped out without any signs! When I left at 8:30 she was still panting pretty heavy so we are unsure if there is an eighth, lets hope not! They seem to be quite adorable though (they are like little rats but still cute). Needless to say I am quite excited. Soccer went quite well last night with the adult league, we were tied 0-0 until the second half (quite intense) and then we won 2-0 in the second half. My little team on the other hand got quite beaten up! All in all its been a good couple of days.

23 more days!
The pressure is on, only 23 more days until our wedding and still so much to do. Things are coming together though, now it is time for the fun stuff. We have to work on planning our reception and working on the power point (kari will be doing that!). Those are the big ones that I am pressured on right now and when those are done its just the little things left. We have decorating to figure out and appointing "assignments" to the numerous people that are helping us out (definitely grateful for family and friends!). It is going to be quite the gong show around our houses come the next two weeks with family and friends arriving and co-ordinating parties. Our calendars are also filling up so fast with soccer, odd jobs and friends that is becoming difficult to see the end of all of it! What a great ending it will be though.

Good Weekend
Well I am a little sore today. After losing our game 4-6 my little team left beaten and battered (2 got stepped on and all the twins wanted was their mom!). I spent that whole time dragging them telling them what to do, a surprisingly unbelievable workout! I loved it though and the kids totally enjoyed it, but when i finally thought I was done and ready to sit down all i heard was "Chantelle, your time has come". It was one of the members of our church, I had previously made a "bet" with him (thinking his wife would not play soccer) that if she did I would. Well I thought I was scot free considering there weren't enough adults, but obviously there were. Anyways end of the story I ran another game and I am a little sore. However It was lots of fun and I look forward to doing it again on Thursday. This weekend Brent and I went shopping for numerous gifts and spent tons of money. It was nice to spend time with him alone though and we had a lot of fun. Yesterday we went to Kari's house for wings, a fire and pie irons. We tossed the ball around for a while (after Brent had to give the "amateurs" a little "how to" lesson!) All in all it was a great weekend and now we are getting down to crunch time and working everything for the wedding out.

back at it
Yesterday's dress fitting went quite well, after a half of running around to find my crinoline it only took 15 minutes! It is very beautiful though and having it finally hemmed makes it that much more real. Today I am going to pick up our rings from the jewelers, we ordered our bands and they sent my engagement ring away for another sizing as well as a coating so it looks like new. It will be nice to have it back. We also had our shower on saturday and that was a really good time with mostly family, but a few friends as well. Aunty Ruth, Kari and Marlys planned a great party and both Brent and I had a excellent time. Tonight we have our first soccer game, my team seems quite enthusiastic and for ages 4-6 they seem to have it together! I have six players (one is very shy) and at least 4 of them are ready to get in there and kick the ball, now all i have to do is teach them how. They are quite cute and all seem to have great personalities so I am optimistic about this season. So wish us luck!

Hello blog world!
This is my first entry into the wonderful world of blogging. Everyone seems to be wondering how our wedding plans are going so I figured this would be the easiest way to update everyone, so here goes. I only have one more month until "the big day" and things are really starting to come together. Most of the wedding attire is figured out and I have a fitting today which is exciting (I get to put my dress on again!). We have to figure out the decorating for the church (ideas are definitely welcome) and our outline for the reception needs to be started. I think one of the hardest things we are working on right now is the design for the program... I am stuck! So with one more month to go I still feel like there is a great deal of stuff to do however my calendar seems to be thinning out with things slowly being accomplished.
